The most expensive book on the planet is also one of the most astounding editions in print.  Helmut Newton‘s SUMO is an enormous edition of 464 full-color pages, large enough to need its own table for viewing – designed by Philippe Starck and conveniently provided with the purchase.  The most controversial photographer of the 20th century, the German born artist, Helmut Newton, famous for his black-n-white nude photographs, didn’t believe in measured gestures, for him it was always all or nothing.  The images in SUMO represent the larger part of Newton’s successful career and tha majority of photographs were selected by his wife and muse, June Newton, who made a point of choosing images never before published.  This special collector’s edition is limited to 10, 000 copies, each signed and numbered by Helmut Newton.  €10,000.00 for the Limited Edition hardcover volume with viewing table designed by Philippe Starck.
